Joe Garcia has been selected to take part in the celebration of a truly historic event — the Inauguration of the President and Vice President of the United States!
Joe is being extended this special opportunity exclusively due to his status as an alumnus of the National Young Scholars Program (NYSP). Joe is 10 years old and is quite brilliant. He wants to be President when he grows up! He is currently going to school in Midland, Texas. He also went to school in Aztec, New Mexico where he was nominated and became part of the NYSP in Denver, Colorado.
I Know what you are thinking…”I had no idea that you are a grandmother, you are so young!!” HA, I am a Nana, as my grandson would put it, but I am also a Ceramicist, AKA a potter so continue reading…

I am writing because I am helping him raise money by making Wheel-thrown ceramic mugs. Mugs that say “Cup O’ Joe”. It’s his name and I love the play on words for the mug! These mugs are for sale…by a contribution! Please help Joe Jr. get to Washington D.C.
Here is a website where a contribution can be made, in any amount. But if you contribute $25 or more, I will send or get you a mug. What a deal, huh?! A mug from Ms. Tessie
The mugs are stoneware and high fired. They are food safe and dishwasher safe.*
Everytime you use your mug, you will think of Joe and how you helped a little boy get to Washington D.C.

It would be most wonderful if you can help! Thank you all so much. Pass the word.
