Bird walk: ‘Birding with Ben or Brandon’ along the Blanco River
PAGOSA SPRINGS – The Pagosa Ranger District again will be partnering with the Weminuche Audubon Society this summer to offer the public a series of free bird walks in and around the San Juan National Forest. No need to sign up, just show up.
Tuesday, August 15, 7:30-10:30 am
See, hear, and learn about the birds found in Southwest Colorado, led by Ben Bailey from the Weminuche Audubon Society and Brandon Caley from the U.S. Forest Service. Bring your binoculars, water and wear layers. This is a free event open to all ages, birding abilities, and families.
Meet at the entrance to the Blanco River Group Campground. Travel south from Pagosa approximately 11 miles on Highway 84 to Blanco River Road (#656), turn east and follow the gravel road about 2.5 miles to its end.
