Key to the sound is the close collaboration of the band’s four members: Dave Wilson (guitar/vocals), John Teer (mandolin/fiddle), Chandler Holt (banjo) and Greg Readling (bass/pedal steel), who have all lived within a 20-mile radius of each other in the Raleigh, North Carolina area since the ensemble formed.
Chatham County Line is touring in support of its latest release, Autumn, which includes poignant songwriting and inventive acoustic arrangements that draw upon American roots influences, while highlighting the band’s trademark three and four-part harmonies. Wrote PopMatters.com, “They are masterful pickers and varied songwriters capable of creating an infectious backdrop for their audiences to behold with their innovative, masterclass harmonies.”
