Pagosa Springs, Colo. — Colorado Parks and Wildlife big game managers will discuss elk herd management in southwest Colorado at a May 10 meeting in Pagosa Springs. Terrestrial Biologist Brad Weinmeister will explain current conditions, objectives, the planning process and future proposed management for elk in the area that includes Game Management Units 75, 77, 78, 751 and 771. The public is invited to participate to ask questions and discuss issues. “We always encourage participation by hunters and the public to provide us information and to help us evaluate management strategies,” Weinmeister said.
