Fishing Adventures Downtown Pagosa Springs

Pagosa Springs did its first stocking on June 1st with 935 lbs of rainbows, all 14-20″ long, avg size 2lbs!  2nd stocking will take place on Sat. June 23, at 10:00, starting at the Ski and Bow Rack.

The following maps and photos describe the amazing times folks have on the San Juan River in the town of Pagosa Springs. All photos shown are in easy walking distance of downtown restaurants, shops and lodging.

“I’m standing in the river in Pagosa Springs, the trout are biting like crazy…why aren’t you here?”

Kids have a great time. There are two fishing ponds in east Pagosa perfect for youth fishing.

When I walk around the ponds and up and down the river I pick up clues where the next photo-op might be from fishing people. The young men in the area were talking about “the pretty girl at the first pond who got a big one.”
People have noted, after seeing the Fishing Photos on this website, that it looks like the shots are made in a wilderness. Not so, this IS Pagosa Springs! Just to the left of this photo is the San Juan Motel and to the right Riverside Health Practices.
Moving adventure, float fishing trips are available in Pagosa.

Betty exclaimed, ” We’re having the time of our lives.” That is quite a statement!
Matt and Zak (below) Chavez from the Albuquerque area said they had a choice between Disneyland and Pagosa Springs for vacation. They approve the choice.
