I’ve never seen anything like it!
My husband and I have been the managers and residents of the Weminuche Valley Ranch for the past 25 yrs. David and I were evacuated off of the
ranch last Friday, due to the fire approaching the valley.
These are photos of some of the cabins that have been “foiled” in the Weminuche Valley in preparation for the fire to sweep down the west side of the valley. The foil deflects the heat of a fire and also keeps embers from setting a structure on fire.
The photos are of the V.A. Poma Ranch and the Lindner’s Ludwig Cabin and of the firemen on duty that day that had actually put the foil on the cabin. We had never seen this done before
and thought it was pretty interesting.
