New owners assumed the ownership of High Country Lodge in June and have been moving and shaking things up to assure the best possible experience for you.
Bob is a Yale graduate and former National Hockey League all-star. France is a tri-lingual naturalized American citizen of French Canadian heritage with a degree in communications from Loyola Marymount University/ Los Angeles. They have been married for over 20 years and have 2 daughters, Jessica and Brooke.
They are the former owner-operators of a guest ranch just outside the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It was an experience their family will always treasure.
After years in real estate development, they longed to get back into the hospitality business. Bob and France pride themselves on their ability to create long-term relationships and their goal is to consistently exceed the expectations of their guests, as well as family and friends. They also believe communication is the key to building strong relationships.
The entire lodge exterior and each room has been painted. A new sign has been added, which is more visible from the road. All cabins and lodge rooms have new fluffy towels and upgraded bed linens, and lodge rooms have new specially selected-for-comfort mattresses.
There have been bed upgrades and refrigerators and microwaves have been added to lodge rooms. New 32″ flat screen tv’s with built in dvd players are in all rooms and cabins. Enhanced continental breakfast features a new cappucino/latte/expresso/hot water/hot milk machine for guests to enjoy.
High Country Lodge is 2 1/2 miles east of Pagosa Springs on Highway 160, between mile markers 147 and 148.
