Peace Wreath Letter from Our Heros
Ten years ago, we put a Christmas wreath shaped like a peace symbol on our home as an expression of our desire for peace on earth. When the Homeowners Association decided to fine us for erecting a sign without prior approval, thousands of people across the world spoke up in favor of our right to have peaceful Christmas decorations. Letters, emails and phone calls poured in from all across the U.S., troops in Iraq, schoolchildren in the Midwest, Vietnam vets, Europe, South America, even Russia.
That message of peace is just as important today as it was ten years ago. We have put that peace symbol up every holiday season since that first one in 2006. Here is the 2016 version.
