Quiznos Pro Challenge, bike race. Aug. 26th. 2011, Lance Armstrong may race!
Lance Armstrong today presented a new seven-day stage race in Colorado, America. The race will make its debut in August next year, Armstrong and Governor Bill Ritter announced in a press conference.
A community meeting will be held on Thursday, August 26th at 6pm in the North Conference Room at the Ross Aragon Community Center to discuss Pagosa Springs applying to be a host community during the inaugural 2011 Quiznos Pro Challenge, an international bike race. During the meeting, plans for an upcoming site visit with the event organizers will be determined and outcomes from the RFP review session will be discussed. Please get involved and help bring this amazing event to Pagosa Springs.
“What started out as a daydream of mine on a long ride outside of Aspen will now become a reality,” said Armstrong. “This race, although new, is already rich in history as is Colorado’s storied cycling background – a perfect way to honour our past champions and highlight our future ones.”
Thanks!
