Saturday, E-Cycle Computer & Electronics Collection Day

The Southwest Organization for Sustainability (SOS) and the Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce “E-Cycle Computer & Electronics Collection Day”.

It is illegal for businesses, governments, and schools to dispose of computers in the landfill. Everyone is urged to refurbish or recycle them instead. However, it is often difficult to send your equipment to a reliable vendor for recycling. So Archuleta County and the Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to help you easily recycle your electronics.

The event will take place this Saturday, October 27, from 9am – 3pm at Town Park, Hermosa St.

Residents, businesses, governments and schools are asked to please bring us your computer equipment, TVs and other electronics.

The Archuleta County Solid Waste Fund, in conjuction with the Chamber of Commerce, is hosting the annual “E-cycle Event” to recycle and dispose of computers, electronics, office equipment and similar materials in an environmentally conscious manner. Here are the prices for recycling these electronic items:

  • CPU, desktop printer, scanner, fax machine, $6
  • Monitor, laptop, TV up to 27” $16
  • TV over 27” $26
  • Large office equipment (copier, all-in-one, plotter, etc.) $0.25/lb
