With many snow related events cancelled due to low snow this year it is with delight that we announce the coming Nordic Biathlon as a part of Pagosa Springs’ WinterFest. See the exciting event in this photo essay.

Cross Country Skiing Grooming Report
Trails are groomed wide for skate skiing with set tracks for and classic cross country skiing.The Wolf Creek Ski Area has reported grooming 6km in the Alberta Meadow Loop on January 23rd. and The Pagosa Nordic Club groomed 5.5km Fall Creek on January 21st.
Fall Creek is located 2 miles east of the scenic overlook hairpin on Wolf Creek Pass, look for the Forest Service #39 road sign.

Pagosa Nordic is hosting the Red Ryder BB Gun Biathlon on Saturday, February 3rd with a 16km competitive, 8km citizens and KidK course.
There is a race for everyone. We provide the bb guns and you provide the ski legs and target shooting.

Warmer and brighter than Saturday and everyone was in high spirits.
The pack was together for a hundred yards or so and then spaced out.
The beautiful Kuhn Ranch provided great open spaces for skiing. The low clouds covered spectacular views of the San Juan, but no one seemed to notice.
