Secure Rural Schools Resource Advisory Committee to Review Project Proposals
San Juan National Forest Secure Rural Schools
The San Juan National Forest Secure Rural Schools Act Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) will meet at the San Juan Public Lands Center, 15 Burnett Court in Durango on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. The public is invited to attend.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with an overview of the Secure Rural Schools Act, Title II funding, and RAC roles and responsibilities. At 10:30 a.m., those who have previously submitted proposals will present their Title II projects to the RAC members. After lunch, the RAC will review the projects, and a public comment period will be held from 2 – 3 p.m. Following this, the RAC will complete its review of projects and make recommendations to the San Juan National Forest for funding. The meeting will adjourn at 4 p.m.
