The Bands, Brews, Etc. Blowout September 11

The Bands, Brews, Etc. Blowout begins at noon and continues until approximately 9 p.m. at the Town Park Sports Field. The musical event is consolidated into one day this year. The single and duo performers will begin around noon as will the microbrew tasting from around the region. Numerous microbreweries will be in attendance from all over the Southwest including New Mexico breweries. Admission to the festival without beer tasting will be $5 and with the beer tasting tickets are $20. The beer tasting will continue until 5 p.m. after which time beer will be sold by the glass. The second part of the day will feature regional musicians with three or more members. It will be a fun and musical evening. Cash awards and recording time will be the big prizes for the competing musicians. If you know a band that should compete, please have them contact Stacy Kirby, Events Coordinator at the Chamber at 264-2360.
