The San Juan String Band to Play at Williams Creek Reservoir
The San Juan String Band returns to Williams Creek Reservoir for an evening concert on Saturday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m. The members of the San Juan String Band have combined their passion for the environment with their love of music, to provide conservation education and environmental awareness messages for the public. Their fun, interactive style will engage the entire family. The band represents the San Juan Public Lands (San Juan National Forest and Bureau of Land Management) of southwest Colorado.
Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and dress for cool weather. On occasion, a rainstorm may pass through, so having rain gear or an umbrella may be a good plan. Please leave your four-legged friends at home. From Highway 160, go north on Piedra Road (CR 600/Forest
Road 631) about 23 miles to Williams Creek Road (Forest Road 640). Turn right and continue about four miles to the Teal Boat Ramp at Williams Creek Reservoir.
This is one of several entertaining, interpretive and informational programs provided free, for the public by the Pagosa Ranger District of the San Juan Public Lands during the summer. Stop by the office a 180 Pagosa Street for a calendar of events or call 264-2268 for more information. For more about the band, go to
