All Vocal Rock Band Music Grant
DENVER – Face Vocal Band will give a brief performance at the Colorado Department of Education on Thursday, Oct. 26, and deliver a $30,500 check to Colorado Education Commissioner Katy Anthes to support music programs across the state.
The event will take place from 12:30 to 1 p.m. in the lobby of the Colorado Department of Education, 201 E. Colfax Ave.
The donation will fund the Technology, Instruments, Guest, Experiences, and Resources (TIGER) Music Grant to help music programs at schools across the state purchase items such as sheet music, risers and the basics for music instruction. School districts, the Charter School Institute (CSI) and non-public schools are eligible to apply for funding through the TIGER Music Grant program.
Face Vocal Band is an internationally acclaimed all-vocal rock band from Boulder that has been captivating audiences for 15 years with their infectious energy and love of performance. Some members of the band have been educators themselves or had music education experiences that were vital to them as students. To show their appreciation to hard-working music educators, the band earmarked a portion of concert proceeds to support music programs across the state through the TIGER Music Grant.
